Language Link, an innovator in teacher training, has been providing TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training courses in Moscow since 1999. At that time, one of its most popular programs referred to as the Teacher-Internship Training Program, started opening its doors to applicants from both inside Russia and abroad. Applicants who successfully completed the training course, were offered full-time teaching contract with Language Link. Highly competitive, the programme originally accepted less than 10 applicant annually. As the programme became more widely known, the number of applicants skyrocketed.
Today, the company receives over 1500 applications yearly of which 60 are selected for entry to the programme. Since first starting this programme, over 400 graduates have gone onto teaching contracts.
Today, Language Link’s teacher-internship training program has been renamed the Teacher-in-Training Program and consists of 4-weeks training followed by 9 month teaching contract.
A modified 3-week TEFL training course consisting of 130 academic hours including 9-11 academic hours of teaching practice has been specially created. Following successful completion of the course, participants are awarded the Language Link Certificate in TEFL.
